E-Invoicing in San Marino

In San Marino, electronic invoicing is a key element of the modernisation of the tax and financial system. The process is regulated by the tax authority and requires the transmission of invoices via the digital system “SDI” (Sistema di Interscambio), which is integrated with the Italian e-invoicing system. Companies must create their invoices in a standardized XML format and use certified software solutions to meet legal requirements. The platform enables the secure exchange of invoices between companies and authorities, thus increasing tax transparency.
