Information exchange between SAP and accredited testing laboratories
The VDI/VDE 2623 interface enables the efficient exchange of information between the SAP system and accredited testing laboratories or calibration service providers. After creating an SAP order for a calibration order (maintenance order), all relevant information is collected and sent to the testing laboratory via FTP server or email.
The interface simplifies the registration and processing of calibrations by transmitting basic information about the test equipment without the need for detailed test instructions. After the test, the laboratory sends the results back in the form of an XML file that indicates the success of the test. These results are included in the test batch and the system can automatically make a decision on use. Test certificates are automatically assigned to the corresponding equipment and can be viewed at any time.
Technical implementation
The interface exports the data in VDI/VDE 2623 format and sends it as a ZIP file via FTP or email. An SAP job regularly reads the FTP directory and processes the returned results. The interface can be used independently or in combination with the ePMV cockpit to efficiently control the entire process.
