E-Invoicing in Benin

The obligation to issue electronic invoices is approaching!

In Benin, e-invoicing, known as "Facture normalisée", was made mandatory by the government in 2020. The "Facture normalisée" ensures that all invoices are issued in a standardized electronic format, which promotes transparency and traceability. The implementation and monitoring of the e-invoicing system is carried out by the Direction Générale des Impôts, which is responsible for compliance with the new regulations.

An electronic or digital signature for electronic invoicing is not mandatory. However, each invoice receives a QR code.
