2025: Compulsory electronic invoicing for all expenditure over €2,500 in the public sector and compulsory for the B2B sector.

The e-invoice primarily covers Business-to-Government (B2G) and Business to Business (B2B) transactions.
format
XML according to EN 16931-1 standard and Peppol BIS 3.0 GR CIUS-Format.
Electronic signature
Electronic signatures are not mandatory. PDF documents must QR codes contain.
Archiving
E-invoices must 5-10 years be archived.
