E-Invoicing in Indonesia

Electronic invoicing was introduced in Indonesia to increase tax transparency, prevent tax fraud and promote trade. The system is based on an approval model where all invoices are approved by the Indonesian Tax Authority DIRECTORATE JENDERAL PAJAK (DJP) must be approved before they are sent to customers. The gradual implementation began 2013 with the introduction of e-Faktur Pajak and was 2016 mandatory for all companies.
